Economy is a term referring to human activities related with the production, distribution, exchange, and consumption of goods and services. In particular, an economy as an economic system, refers to these activities of a certain region or country. In this sense, economies use various inputs to produce outputs, a.k.a. goods and services.

The economy is comprised of sectors or industries. Structure of economy evolves as economy develops.

The science of Economy is called Economics.

In light of the most common definition of economy, one may also be accepted by talking about economy as a way of accumulating and diversifying wealth, functional arrangement of elements that interact to make use of each other, the inner workings of a group or community to ensure its survivorship. For instance, ecology is the economics of nature.
